Fall 2020 Blackboard Learn courses:

Fall 2020 Blackboard Learn courses were initially populated with registered students around 3:30 a.m. CST Monday, August 3, 2020. All Blackboard Learn courses are created as "Unavailable" to students. You control the student availability of your courses. Instructions are located in the Faculty How to Guide: Make my Blackboard Learn course(s) available to students.

Preparing your Fall 2020 Blackboard Learn course(s):

  • Course setup: Fall 2020 Blackboard Learn courses were initially created on March 28, 2020. A Blackboard Learn course is created for every class as organized in the Student Information System (SIS). It is important that you review your courses as soon as possible and consult your department scheduler if your courses are not organized correctly (graduate/undergraduate, cross-listed, etc.).

  • Co-instructor, Teaching Assistant, Grader access: Only the primary instructor listed in the SIS is automatically enrolled into each Blackboard Learn course. If there are additional co-instructors or teaching assistants that need access to the course, you will need to enroll these users. Information and instructions are located in the Faculty How to Guide: Add a non-registered user to my Blackboard Learn course(s).

  • Course Copy: For information and directions on how to copy an existing Blackboard Learn course to a new, unused course, please use the Transitioning a Bb Learn 9 Course for the Next Semester document. Please read the information carefully before completing a course copy. If you would like one-on-one assistance, please complete the 'ETMS Professional Development and Consultation Request' form.

  • Video: Please do not upload video files nor have your students upload video files directly to Blackboard Learn. Using Panopto will result in a better end-user experience:

If you need assistance or have questions/issues with any of the UNI eLearning Suite of tools, please complete and submit the 'Contact eLearning Suite Support' form.

Have a great Fall 2020 semester!
