Recent updates to Blackboard have made notification management much more modular. Now you may adjust the notifications you receive on the activity stream, versus what notifications what you get emails about. Reference this guide to learn how adjust these settings.

With the switch to Ultra Base Blackboard Navigation,  you may have seen an increase in emails. To adjust this in Blackboard go to; “Your Name” -> Global Notification Settings -> “Email notifications”. Customize the notifications presented to your own personal preference.

Be sure to add a photo (or avatar) to your profile in Blackboard Ultra Base Navigation. Profile pictures show throughout courses, including Activity Stream, and assist instructors in remembering you. Visit the eLearning Suite website for more details and how to add a profile.

Professors have an optional & new attendance feature with Blackboard. If allowed, you may select “My Grades” then “Attendance”. This will grants access to a breakdown of your attendance for each class session. See the bottom of this page for more!

Did you know, as a student you have access to a Zoom Pro account? Zoom is a powerful video conferencing tool that allows you to conduct remote gatherings with HD video & audio for free with your @uni gmail account!

Professors can now send emails as they make announcements on Blackboard. If your Gmail is set to sort by “updates” then you may be missing some! Double check your updates tab to make sure you don't miss anything! Questions can be submitted to Servicehub.
