On Thursday, February 18, 2016 from 6 a.m. to 7 a.m. CST, the UNI eLearning System will be UNAVAILABLE for maintenance to install application server patches. These are patches for the servers that UNI eLearning System runs on. There are no changes to the UNI eLearning (Blackboard Learn) software.

On Monday, January 18, 2016 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. CST, the Panopto Live Classroom Capture System (panopto.uni.edu) will be offline for maintenance to install a software patch.

A few reminders for the start of the semester...

All: Login instructions for UNI users are located at: https://www.uni.edu/elearning/login-instructions-all-uni-users

Instructors: You must make your UNI eLearning course available to students in order for them to have access to it. Information and directions are located at: https://www.uni.edu/elearning/how-do-i-make-my-bb-learn-9-courses-available-students

Students: Use of the UNI eLearning system is based on the instructor's discretion. Although all UNI courses will have an eLearning course, the Instructor must make that course available for students to have access. Students will have access only to the course(s) in which they are officially registered and the Instructor has made the eLearning site available. If you do not see a course listed, please contact the Instructor of the course(s) to see if they are using the UNI eLearning System and if they have made their eLearning course available to students.

The CAS issues were resolved at 6 p.m. CST. Users should now be able to log in again. If you experience problems with logging in, please contact the Computer Consulting Center (CCC) by calling 319-273-5555.

Due to issues with the Central Authentication System (CAS) since 3:55 p.m. CST, UNI users are currently NOT able to log into UNI eLearning, UNI Email, MyUNIverse, and other applications. The appropriate IT personnel are actively working on the issue. We apologize for the inconveniences the CAS outage is causing.

At 12:58 p.m. CST, the UNI eLearning System was accessible again.

Beginning around 11:45 a.m. CST, all users have been unable to access the UNI eLearning System due to a major campus network issue(s). ITS Network Services is working on resolving the issue(s). The UNI eLearning System is stil running but due to the network issues, users are not able to get to the UNI eLearning System. We apologize for the inconveniences this outage is causing.

On Wednesday, December 30, 2015 from 5 a.m. to 7 a.m. CST, users may NOT be able to access the UNI eLearning System due to the scheduled border network maintenance that will cause an Internet Service Outage.

On Wednesday, December 23, 2015 from 6 a.m. to 7 a.m. CST, the UNI eLearning System will be UNAVAILABLE for maintenance to install application server patches. These are patches for the server that UNI eLearning System runs on. There are no changes to the UNI eLearning (Blackboard Learn) software.

At 5:19 p.m. CST, the UNI eLearning System appeared to operate at normal speeds again. The team is still investigating the cause of the slowness, but believe the issue has been resolved. If you experience slowness issue with UNI eLearning System, please contact the Computer Consulting Center (CCC) by calling 319-273-5555.

Around 4 p.m. CST, users began experiencing slowness with the UNI eLearning System. The system is running and functioning, but is slow. Page loads appear to take around 10 times longer than normal. The eLearning Admin team is actively investigating the issue.
