The Office of Continuing and Distance Education is accepting proposals for course development awards for faculty interested in converting an existing course to a fully online format using the UNI eLearning System. Proposals for summer and fall 2013 courses are due November 30, 2012. Guidelines and a proposal form are available online. Awards include a $1,000-per-credit-hour course-development stipend and a $1,000 professional-development stipend for attending Quality Matters workshops on January 3 and 4, 2013. Your username and password for UNI eLearning is set to your CatID. Use the same username and password you use for MyUNIverse and UNI Email. If you are having trouble logging into UNI eLearning, please try logging into MyUNIverse.
For security reasons, your CatID password expires every 90 days. If your CatID has expired, you will first need to log into MyUNIverse with your username and expired password. Once you have changed your password and can successfully log into MyUNIverse, use the same username and new password to log into UNI eLearning.

An outage of the UNI eLearning System will occur Wednesday, November 07, 2012 from 6:00 AM CST to 7:00 AM CST to install OS patches and application software patches. The Bb Learn 9 eLearning System will not be available during this period.

On November 1, 2012 starting at approximately 8:00 PM, some users experienced "No space left on device" errors while trying to uploading files, attachments, or content or submit assignments with attachments, etc. This issue occurred on ONLY one of the two UNI eLearning application nodes.
Instructors: If your students reported receiving the "No space left on device" error, please allow the students some leeway or allow them to submit additional attempts. If you have any questions on a student's claim, please complete the "Contact eLearning Support" form and provide the class, assignment, and as many details about what the student is claiming.

An eLearning site for all Spring 2013 courses in the Campus Solutions Student Information System (SIS) are now being automatically created for the Spring 2013 semester. The UNI eLearning System receives daily updates from the SIS of course offerings and instructor assignments.
Please review your Spring 2013 eLearning course(s) and consult your department scheduler if you do not see your course(s) or your Spring 2013 course(s) are not organized correctly. An eLearning site was created for each course as entered into the SIS. Any changes made in the SIS will be imported into the UNI eLearning System the following day.
Only the user entered as "Primary Instructor" in the SIS is automatically enrolled in the eLearning course as the Instructor. If there are co-instructors or additional non-registered users that need access to the eLearning course, the primary Instructor needs to follow the directions located at: http://www.uni.edu/elearning/how-do-i-add-non-registered-user-my-elearning-courses
Spring 2013 UNI eLearning courses will be populated with students on Monday, December 31, 2012 (tentative).

An outage of the UNI eLearning System will occur Wednesday, October 24, 2012 from 6:00 AM CDT to 7:00 AM CDT to install an application software patch and update Java. The Bb Learn 9 eLearning System will not be available during this period.

The UNI eLearning System will be UNAVAILABLE from 5:00 AM to 7:00 AM CDT, Saturday, October 13, 2012 due to a required restart of hardware hosting the UNI eLearning database. This outage is necessary to implement configuration changes needed to improve hardware performance and increase available resources.

Blackboard Inc. has updated their Blackboard Learn Mobile app. Previously, the app was free only to users on Sprint's network or iOS devices on WiFi. The app is now available to ANY user with a recent Android or iOS device on ANY carrier or network. With this new version of the app, there is a modest in-app fee.
