A few reminders for the start of the semester...

Instructors: You must make your UNI eLearning course available to students in order for them to have access to it. Information and directions are located at: https://www.uni.edu/elearning/how-do-i-make-my-bb-learn-9-courses-available-students
Students: Use of the UNI eLearning system is based on the instructor's discretion. Although all UNI courses will have an eLearning site, the Instructor must make that course available for students to have access. Students will have access to only the course(s) in which they are official registered for and the Instructor has made the eLearning site available. If you do not see a course listed, please contact the Instructor of the course(s) to see if they are using the UNI eLearning System and if they have made their eLearning course available to students.

On Saturday, January 11, 2014 from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m. CST, the UNI eLearning System will be UNAVAILABLE so that we can correct an issue that has caused instructors to have very slow access to course discussion boards.

On Friday, January 10, 2014 from 5 a.m. to 7 a.m. CST, the UNI eLearning System will be UNAVAILABLE to perform server and software maintenance.

Spring 2014 UNI eLearning academic courses were populated with students at 11:30 AM CST on Monday, December 30, 2013. Spring 2014 student enrollment will be imported into the UNI eLearning System daily, so all enrollment changes (adds/drops) will be automatically processed. Any changes entered in the Student Information System by 5:00 PM will be processed the following day.
UNI Instructors: UNI eLearning courses are created in an "unavailable" state. This means an Instructor has access to the course, but students do not see the course listed in their My Courses module until the instructor makes the course available. Instructions for making your course "available" to students are published at: http://www.uni.edu/elearning/how-do-i-make-my-bb-learn-9-courses-available-students . No action is required for instructors that choose not to use the UNI eLearning System. Note: Courses contracted through Continuing and Distance Education (CDE) will be made available by CDE staff no later than 8:00 AM CST Monday, January 13, 2014.
UNI Students: You will not see a course listed in your My Courses module unless the Instructor has made the eLearning course available.

On Saturday, December 28, 2013, the UNI eLearning System (Blackboard Learn 9.1) was upgraded to Service Pack 14 (SP14). There are a few enhancements and new features/tools, so please select your role below to learn more about the enhancements and new features:
If you experience an error or technical issue, contact UNI eLearning Support by completing the "Contact eLearning Support" form. Please be sure to provide as many details as possible; such as: any error message(s), steps you took that produced the error/issue, and computer setup (operating system, web browser and version, wired/wireless internet, etc.).

On Friday, December 27, 2013 from 5:30 a.m. to 8 a.m. CST, the UNI eLearning System will be OFFLINE for the announced "ITS-NS VMware vSphere storage maintenance" and to install OS patches.

On Saturday, December 28, 2013 from 5 a.m. to 3 p.m. CST, the UNI eLearning System will be UNAVAILABLE for an extended period to perform server maintenance and to install the latest Blackboard Learn 9.1 Service Pack and Building Blocks.
