Blackboard 2016 Theme

New Blackboard Look and Feel!

The Learn 2016 theme for Blackboard Learn delivers a more modern user interface using color, fonts, and spacing for greater consistency between Blackboard Learn (computer version) and the Blackboard mobile app. While colors look different, functions and placement of features remain unchanged. Instructors and students can access their course materials using a similar interface whether they're at a desk or on the go!

Blackboard App for Students

The Mobile Learn app is the original app for viewing your Blackboard Learn courses on mobile devices. Blackboard has created persona-based apps to access their Blackboard Learn (UNI eLearning) software.

Both instructors and students can use Mobile Learn. This application gives students and faculty access to their eLearning courses on a variety of mobile devices. Students and instructors can access documents in multiple formats, read announcements, create discussion threads, upload media, create content items, comment on blogs, and more—all on the mobile devices they love.

How do I organize/edit the "My Courses" module in eLearning/Blackboard?

Users can reorganize, edit, or personalize the "My Courses" module:

  1. After you log into eLearning/Blackboard, please put your cursor on the "My Courses" module's purple header.
  2. A "gear" icon should appear in the right hand side of the purple header. Click on the "gear" icon.
  3. In the "Personalize: My Courses" screen locate the course.

To hide a course(s): Uncheck the boxes under the "Course Name" and "Instructor" columns and then click the Submit button.
