What’s with the new look in Blackboard Learn courses?

With the December 21, 2017 Blackboard Learn upgrade comes several new features and enhancements. Perhaps most noticeable is a new look and feel using responsive design for greater accessibility and a more modern user interface (theme) using color, fonts, and spacing for greater consistency between Blackboard Learn (computer version) and the Blackboard mobile app. While colors in your course will look different, functions and placement of features will remain unchanged.

Panopto - Classroom Capture

Panopto is a classroom capture software that allows you to create, save, search and share rich media presentations instantly with your students. The software can be installed on Mac or Windows machines. All you need is a microphone and a computer to get started.

Panopto integration with the UNI eLearning System (Bb Learn 9):

New features and enhancements in Service Pack 8 (SP8) and Service Pack 9 (SP9)

New features and enhancements will be coming to the UNI eLearning System in time for the Fall 2012 semester. The UNI eLearning team will be installing Service Pack 9 on Saturday, August 4, 2012. Service Pack 9 (SP9) is cummulative and contains the ehancements and features of Service Pack 8 (SP8). Below is a explanation of the features and enhancements that will be available after the update to SP9:

Respondus - Exam authoring for Learning Management Systems (LMS)

Respondus is a Windows application that enhances the functionality and usability of the UNI eLearning (Blackboard) Assessment tool. The University of Northern Iowa has obtained a campus-wide license for the Respondus software.

Information about the Respondus software and the Respondus Test Bank Network (a free service that allows instructors to download publisher test banks) is available at www.respondus.com.
