UNI eLearning Suite

When does Blackboard Learn update Student Information System (SIS) changes for courses or enrollments (adds, drops)?

Changes made in the Student Information System (SIS) for courses or enrollments do not simultaneously occur in Blackboard Learn, but should occur within 2.5 hours. There are two parts to that process: Creating the feed files from the SIS data then importing the feed files into Blackboard Learn.

The process that creates the SIS Bb Learn Feed Files (courses, enrollments (adds/drops)) runs every 2 hours Monday - Friday 7 am - 5 p.m. So, files for new courses, dropped courses, new enrollments (adds), and drop enrollments, is created at 7 a.m., 9 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. Those files are then imported into our Blackboard Learn System 30 minutes later. So at 7:30 a.m., 9:30 a.m., etc. is when the changes are actually made in Blackboard Learn.

If the user is new to UNI, then you may have to wait for overnight processes for the user to get a Blackboard Learn user account.

Every morning (7 days a week) at 2:30 a.m. a FULL process runs that grabs all users, courses, and enrollments files. Those files are then imported starting at 3 a.m.
