New Look and Feel (Bb Learn 2016 Theme) — The Learn 2016 theme for Blackboard Learn is a modern version of the user interface that incorporates elements from the new Blackboard design language including color, fonts, and spacing for greater consistency between Blackboard Learn and the Blackboard app. It also follows WCAG 2.0 principles and accessibility guidelines for structure, color contrast, and navigation to support Accessibility. Additional Drag-and-Drop Locations — The drag-and-drop feature has been added to the Content Collection, Content Editor, Blank Page, Blogs, Journals, and Portfolios. If the browser allows, users can drag a folder of files and the files will upload individually.
New Inline Grading (New Box View) — Blackboard’s current service for inline grading is changing to the New Box View API. New Box View offers several improvements over the older version, including improved rendering fidelity and expanded support for 100 different file types!
SafeAssign — SafeAssign is a tool used to promote originality and to create opportunities to help students identify how to properly attribute sources rather than paraphrase. SafeAssign compares submitted assignments against a set of sources to identify areas of overlap between the submitted assignment and existing works. This tool is integrated in the Assignment tool in Blackboard.
