UNI has an agreement with Turnitin.com that permits campus-wide utilization of their plagiarism prevention and detection service known as Originality Checking by Turnitin. This service allows instructors to easily detect plagiarism on any student paper; and more importantly, offers outstanding resources for educating students on plagiarism and properly citing references.
There are two options to utilize the Turnitin Originality Checking service:
Option 1 - submit papers electronically directly to the Turnitin website (www.turnitin.com)
To create or renew a Turnitin instructor account for your course, please submit a Support Form.
In the "Description of Problems" box, please type "Requesting a Turnitin Account".
When the account has been created, an email will be sent with account information and directions.
Option 2 - submit papers/assignments in conjunction with your UNI eLearning section(s)
A Turnitin Powerlink is available in UNI eLearning which gives instructors access to Turnitin’s plagiarism prevention within the UNI eLearning environment.
For directions on how to add a Turnitin Powerlink, please visit: Turnitin Powerlink FAQ
