Archiving a Blackboard/WebCT course is a function that may only be completed by an administrator.

Course owner

Instructors and designers may request to have a Blackboard/WebCT course archived by sending an email message to elearning@uni.edu . Please specify the course number, section number, and course title for each course you would like archived. The other option is to have the course reset to use for a future semester.

  • Archive - courses are backed up, removed from the server and stored locally on removable media. Select this option if you infrequently reference the course and students don't need access anymore.

  • Reset and rename - course is retained on the production Blackboard/WebCT server with content intact. Student grades, discussion threads and calendar entries are all reset to pre-semester values. Select this option if you intend to use the courses in the future as a template for additional courses, and students don't need access.

Non-owner
If you are not the Designer or Instructor of a course and would like the course removed from your My Courses listing, please send a list of the course(s) to elearning@uni.edu specifying to be un-enrolled from the course(s).
