MyUNIverseCT (WebCT) will use the CatID (username/password) for login effective 8:00 a.m. Saturday, January 5, 2008.

 

CatID

CatID Username

  • Current user: If you have accessed UNI E-Mail, MyUNIverse, or MyUNIverseCT (WebCT) previously, use the same username with MyUNIverseCT (WebCT).
  • New user: If you are a new user, then your username is __________________ (note usernames are case sensitive).

CatID Password

  • Current user: If you have accessed UNI E-Mail or MyUNIverse previously, use the same password with MyUNIverseCT (WebCT).
  • New user: If you are a new user, then your initial password is in the format mmdd$nnnnnn

mm is the first 2 letters of your birth month,
dd is the 2 digit number of your birth day and
nnnnnn is your 6 digit university ID# _______________

For security reasons, you are required to change your CatID password the first time you login. Your new password must be at least 8 characters long and must contain at least one alpha, one numeric, and one special character. Additionally you must access MyUNIverse to successfully change your password.

1.     Go to http://www.uni.edu

2.     Click on MyUNIverse link in the banner

UNI HOme

3.     Enter your CatID username and CatID password

4.     You will receive the prompt to select a new CatID password

 

Login to MyUNIverseCT (WebCT)

  1. Go to http://www.uni.edu
  2. Click on WebCT link in the banner

Note: http://elearning.uni.edu is the site to bookmark or add to your favorites.

  1. Click on the "myUNIverseCT" link - below the text "LOGIN to WebCT CE6" on the lower right portion of the screen.

    Before you go on to the next step, please make sure to read the information on the right side of the screen and click on the "Check Browser" link (upper right). This will bring up a new window. You must get all the checks to be green (no red X's).
    To fix a red X for the Pop-up Blocker Check you will need to go into the Tools menu of your Browser and modify the settings for Popup Blockers to allow popups from lamont.uni.edu

To fix a red X in Java Check, go to http://elearning.uni.edu/support/players-plugins.htm to download and install the Java Runtime Environment plug-in. You will need to restart your computer after installing JRE.

  1. Enter your CatID username and CatID password (as explained above)
  2. Click on the Title of your course to enter your course.

 

CatID Password Changes

As noted on the previous page, for security reasons, you are required to change your CatID password the first time you login. Also for security reasons, your CatID password expires every 90 days. Your CatID change password expiration date is stated on the Password Central channel of MyUNIverse and via messages sent to your UNI E-Mail account.

Using MyUNIverse to determine CatID password change date 

1.     Go to http://www.uni.edu

2.     Click on MyUNIverse link in the banner

3.     Enter your CatID username and CatID password

4.     CatID change password date is found in the Password Central.Password

 

Using UNI E-Mail

1.     Go to http://www.uni.edu

2.     Click on E-Mail link in the banner

UNI Home

3.     Enter your CatID username and CatID password

4.     Click on Login button

Forwarding UNI E-Mail

1.     Go to http://www.uni.edu

2.     Click on MyUNIverse link in the banner

UNI Home

3.     Enter your CatID username and CatID password

4.     Forward email to another address is found in the My Email channel. Email

5..     Select “Forward email to another address

6.     Enter the email address where you want your UNI E-Mail to be forwarded

7.     Click on Submit
